AZERI PM SIGNS LONG-TERM STRATEGY
ON USE OF OIL REVENUES

"Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizada
signed a long-term strategy on use of the oil revenues,"
Trend reports quoting Finance Minister Avaz Alakbarov.
According to Alakbarov, the Cabinet
of Ministers considered the draft strategy
developed by the Finance Ministry and
OM signed the document on May 31. At present the
strategy is under consideration of
the President's Apparat. "I hope
the President will confirm it," Alakbarov
underlined.
Development of a long-term strategy on use of oil revenues
was one of the requirements of international Monetary Fund
(IMF). The strategy should reflect the priority sectors the
oil revenues must be directed at the implementation of oil
projects. President Ilham Aliyev stated that over $60bn would
be invested in the country as a result of implementation of
50 oil contracts.
