UN Discussion Tackles Good Governance and Development

Last night, RWI President Daniel Kaufmann participated in a panel discussion at the United Nations that confronted the question: “Is good governance good for development?” Jomo Sundaram, Assistant Director-General for Social and Economic Development with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO); Joseph Stiglitz, Professor of Economics at Columbia University and recipient of the 2001 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and Susan Woodward, Professor with the PhD programme in Political Science at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York joined Kaufmann for the discussion, which was part of the United Nations Academic Impact’s ongoing Point Counter-Point series.
