KAZAKH PREMIER, SHELL OFFICIALS DISCUSS
COOPERATION
Text of report by Kazakh TV on 2 June
Kazakh Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov has met Ron van den
Berg, the regional CEO of Shell for the Middle East, Russia
and CIS.
They discussed the development of the Kashagan oilfield in
the Caspian Sea.
President of Shell Kazakhstan Martin Ferstl also took part
in the meeting.
The prime minister expressed confidence that successful implementation
of the project will have a positive effect on the growth of
Kazakhstan's economy thanks to getting maximum economic profits
from production-sharing, the creation of new enterprises,
jobs and the increase of investments to the country's education
and other social projects.
